About the Role
Direct Support Professional
Would you like to make a difference every day in someone’s life? As a direct support professional, you will provide assistance to persons with intellectual and developmental disorder and mental health challenges.
You will be responsible to assist them with numerous activities such as,
Assist with daily living skills including meal preparation and assist with medication administration reminder, Transportation and support to outings in the community: field trips, medical appointments, and shopping
Provide guidance on a range of developmental goals from community participation, household budgeting, exercise, nutrition, and supporting vocational responsibilities
Support persons served with living skills such as personal hygiene, grooming, and/or bathing
Assist individuals we serve to redirect agitated or aggressive behaviors
Requirements
Must be minimum of 18 years of age
High school graduate
A reliable, responsible attitude
Six months of experience in human services preferred
Valid driver’s license in good standing
Successful clearance of background checks
A compassionate approach and a commitment to safety and quality in everything you do
